IN A GOLD RUSH DON'T DIG, SELL SHOVELS

It was the era of the gold rush in the late 1840s when gold was found, and suddenly everyone suddenly realized they could ‘dig deeper, and trust the instincts of the natural man, this was their long-awaited miracle moment. Nearly everyone started mining for gold to make a fortune.
Because of this rigorous activity, every time they went through their mining activities, their clothes would get worn out due to the nature of the rough terrain they were dealing with.
This seemed to be a challenge as people had to change clothes more often.
In the midst of this rush, a young man named Levi was contacted by a customer that he needed a piece of cloth that wouldn’t fall apart, Levi came up with the idea of putting metal rivets at the point of strain, and the name ‘jeans’ was born.
Till today, Levi’s still remains one of the greatest clothing brands available.
You probably should have already gained clarity on how the title of this newsletter came up already.
The truth is many times, more money is made by ‘providing wheels for those running on foot to move faster, rather than you joining them to run.
The advent of the debit/credit card gave rise to P.O.S machines
The tech-boom gave rise to sales of ‘anti-blue-ray glasses’
Lagos traffic gave rise to the ‘dispatch riders boom’
Tetra Pak (the company that packages almost every juice pack), made revenue of 11 million euros last year 2021.
(permit my Nigerian bias in the examples above)
Is there any issue in digging for gold? Absolutely not!
Except that 10/5 = 2, and 10/2 = 5.
Simply put, the opportunities probably available would be more when fewer people are competing for them.
This also gives room for a headstart, thus allowing you to become ‘an authority in that space faster too.
I know for sure, like everything in life there are exceptions, Life is not always a straight line.
Just like football, sometimes you score the goal, other times, you assist the one who scores the goal.
Sometimes, your business is not ‘THE BUSINESS’, your business would be to oil ‘THE MAIN BUSINESS’, and the oblivious nature will make it your own personal ‘gold
mine’.
May you have the eyes that spot the subtle opportunities hidden in the main opportunity.
Till we meet again.
For your financial progress.
